Your options

  • Metro (red line): departs right at Terminal 1, with connections to the other lines across the city centre. Cheap and fast.
  • Taxi and ride-hailing: the airport is close to the city – the ride is short and usually not expensive.
  • Buses: city buses connect the airport with several districts.
  • Transfer: handy when arriving late or for destinations on the coast such as Cascais or Sintra.

Tips

  • Ticket: you get the rechargeable card for metro, bus and tram from the machines in the station.
  • Terminal 2: many low-cost airlines use Terminal 2 – a free shuttle bus runs from there to Terminal 1 and the metro.
  • Hills: Lisbon is steep – with heavy luggage a taxi for the last stretch is often worth it.

How Voynera helps

After landing, Voynera's arrival briefing shows the route and travel time to your accommodation – and doesn't suggest a transfer if you've already booked one or your card includes ride credit.
