Your options

All information without guarantee, as of November 2026. Terms and offers change regularly – only the information on the providers' official websites is binding.

  • FEX (Airport Express): the fastest way into the centre – via Ostkreuz and Gesundbrunnen to the main station.
  • Regional trains (RE and RB): add to the FEX, for example towards the main station and Charlottenburg.
  • S-Bahn S9 and S45: every 20 minutes, slower but with many stops – handy for Friedrichshain, Kreuzberg or Neukölln.
  • Bus X7 and X71: frequent service to the U-Bahn at Rudow (U7) – good if you're staying in the south.
  • Taxi and ride-hailing: convenient with lots of luggage, but a long and expensive ride into town.

Tips

  • The right ticket: to reach the city centre you need a ticket for fare zone **ABC** – AB alone isn't valid.
  • Deutschland-Ticket is valid: FEX, regional trains, S-Bahn and buses are included. More on saver fares in our train guide.
  • Check the timetable: the FEX sometimes doesn't run during engineering works – S9 and regional trains are the alternative.
  • Terminal 1–2 and 5: the S-Bahn stops at both stations, the FEX and regional trains only at Terminal 1–2.

How Voynera helps

After landing, Voynera's arrival briefing shows the route and travel time to your accommodation – and doesn't suggest a transfer if you've already booked one or your card includes ride credit.
